Like their senior counterparts, England Under-20s now have three wins from three and Hunter was quick to applaud a gritty performance.
“The conditions were quite heavy but it was the same for both sides so we’ve got no complaints there, it was a great Test match to be involved in,” said Hunter.
“We head into a fallow week now before we play Scotland – I think it’s fair to say that I’d prefer to keep the lads in camp but hopefully the rest will do them good and they’ll come back raring to go in a week’s time.”
England will look to carry their momentum over the break at Newbury on March 11th against a Scotland side who have scored just eight points from their three matches so far.
But captain Alex Gray maintains England must not lapse into complacency.
He said: “We’re happy with how it’s all been going so far in this 6 Nations campaign.
“But the boys have all put a huge amount of effort in – these wins aren’t happening by accident, they’re the result of a lot of hard work being done behind closed doors in our camps.”
