The tighthead could be in line for a return in Wales’ RBS 6 Nations clash with Ireland next week after Ospreys coach Sean Holley included him on the bench for their clash with Glasgow on Saturday evening at the Liberty Stadium.

The 29 year-old has recovered quickly from his setback at London Irish in January and is sure to fit into Warren Gatland’s reckoning.

And, after initially being ruled out for two months, Holley was quick to pay tribute to Jones’ quicker-than-expected recovery.

“Adam will be involved and will definitely be in the 23-man match day squad,” said Holley.

“As long as Adam comes through unscathed on the weekend, I would imagine he’s in the reckoning for the following week against Ireland.

“We have to give him some praise because he is back early from his injury… he is ahead of schedule and he has been excellent in our environment.

“Adam’s training age is good and our medical team works on a process which isn’t about getting players back to playing but getting them back to playing well”
