Earls welcomes O'Gara return

Ireland flier Keith Earls is hoping Ronan O'Gara's return to the Ireland team can give him the service he needs to thrive in the RBS 6 Nations.
Winger Earls was virtually a spectator in Ireland’s last RBS 6 Nations match against France despite Ireland scoring three tries.

With Tommy Bowe, last year’s RBS 6 Nations player of tournament, returning on the opposite wing, Earls’ presence may well be overshadowed.

But with an impressive strike rate of six tries in nine starts for Ireland, Earls is confident he can inflict some damage if he gets the ball in hand.

He said: "I think I touched the ball two or three times against France, it was very frustrating.

“When I came off my wing to look for the ball it was gone out to the wing. When it was coming wide, I was stuck to the touchline. It was a hard game to get into.

“I have to go looking for ball on Sunday. Hopefully, Darce (Gordon D'Arcy) and Drico (Brian O'Driscoll) will get the ball to me this weekend and I can have a good run at it."

"You have to be always alert to ROG. If you're not out on the wing he'll start giving out, but it's all good."
