O'Gara and Reddan take the half-back reins

Ronan O'Gara takes over the fly-half duties from Jonathan Sexton as Ireland make three changes for their RBS 6 Nations match against Scotland.
There’s a new-look half-back combination with O’Gara partnering Eoin Reddan who replaces the injured Munster scrum-half Tomas O’Leary.

Last year’s player of the championship, Tommy Bowe, has shrugged off fitness doubts to retake his place on the wing ahead of Fergus McFadden who drops out of the 22.

Sexton meanwhile has to make do with a place on the bench after two less-than-convincing displays against Italy and France.

In both matches O’Gara has replaced Sexton and went on to grab the match-winning drop goal against the Azzurri.

The 33-year-old needs just seven points to reclaim Six Nations points scoring record from Jonny Wilkinson.

Murrayfield has been a happy hunting ground for Ireland in the Six Nations with the last Scotland victory coming ten years ago.
