Matthew Rees attempts to make some hard yards against England
Rees: Scottish scrum will be no pushover

Wales captain Matthew Rees is reading nothing into the woes suffered by the Scottish pack at the hands of the French forwards in the first round of RBS 6 Nations matches.
France dominated the scrum and forced one penalty try as well as running in three tries from turnovers at the Stade de France in their 34-21 victory.

But Rees maintains all Wales’ preparations have been focussed on improving their own performance rather than on exploiting perceived Scottish weaknesses up front.

“It is always a difficult task,” he said. “France have got a formidable scrum, and I thought they set their stall out from the very first scrum of the game.

"We are just concentrating on ourselves, making sure we put our own house in order. We know it's going to be tough on Saturday, and it is about making sure we turn up mentally as well as physically."

If Wales don’t win at Murrayfield then their winless run will have been extended to nine games.

But lock Bradley Davies maintains that sequence has been deceiving and believes they are only one victory away from kickstarting their Six Nations campaign.

He said: “Losing becomes a habit, but if we can win at Murrayfield then we are back in the tournament.

“What a great chance for us to get our season back on track. I am confident we can put things right on the weekend.

“We know we are not a bad team. If you ask any side in international rugby, they would not say we were rubbish.

“If we were sitting here now and we had not played any rugby and we had got battered, it would be a different story, but we are playing a lot of rugby at the moment.”
