Coach Steve Hansen is set to continue with captain Jonathan Humphreys for the rest of the RBS 6 Nations Championship after his impressive return to the international fold against England.
Humphreys shrugged off a four-year absence to do the job Hansen asked of him as Wales rediscovered their self-esteem despite going down to a 26-9 defeat at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium.
The coach believes the Bath hooker's leadership qualities will be vital for the rest of the tournament though he is hopeful axed skipper Colin Charvis will get back to his best.
"We will use Jonathan for the Six Nations," said Hansen, who turned to the former Cardiff player after the historic defeat to Italy.
"We have a young team and one thing we need is leadership.
"Jonathan is certainly a leader and having him around is a big benefit. He did a tremendous job against England. I couldn't be happier with him."
