The diminutive fly-half was nigh on unstoppable in the second-half having spent the first 40 minutes on the bench as West Wales ran out 33-19 winners.

The East had led 7-5 at the break with centre Owen Williams also championing his Six Nations cause by crossing for a score - Joseff Griffin converting.

Kirby Myhill notched a try to keep the West in touch at half-time before the Morgan show settled the tie after the interval.

At 5ft 5in and weighing just 8st 11lb Morgan had a hand in the score of the game when he dashed through a gap before freeing Nathan Brooks to cross.

Morgan added the conversion for Brooks’ try and repeated the trick when replacement hooker Sam Parry crossed for the West’s third score.

The East kept within touching distance though a Tom Williams try, converted by namesake Lewis. But fittingly Morgan had the final say with a solo try which began in his own 22.
