Since making his debut in the RBS 6 Nations clash with France in 2008 Croft has won 25 England caps as well as turning out three times for the Lions.

And as well as expressing his delight at securing Croft’s signature the former England hooker predicted the 25-year-old will only get better.

“He epitomises the spirit of the club and he is already seen as a senior player at a relatively young age.

"He is another example of how well players can develop within our environment.

"He proves what hard work and determination can do in the game and that sets a great example for other young players.
