The 21-year-old has taken advantage of Mike Tindall’s recent absence with England to secure a run in the first team, scoring two tries against Saracens.
Trinder said: “I definitely feel the pressure to repay the faith they have shown in me. I want to be the best player I can possibly be on the pitch.
“Senior players were telling me I would get back on my feet and that gave me a lot of confidence.
“Everybody has been fantastic in supporting me. Bryan Redpath was always speaking to me and he comforted me when I was down.”
Trinder said playing alongside internationals such as Tindall and James Simpson-Daniel has forced him to raise his game.
“I have to match their standards now. It is not good enough now to drop a ball and think I will get away with it because I am young.
“It was mind-blowing as a schoolboy to come in and see people like James and Mike who had been idols of mine.
“You can be overawed by the aura of people like that but once I landed a cheap shot on Mike in training you realise they are just your teammates. He made sure he got me back - he always does.”
