Prop Allan Jacobsen is set to claim his 50th Scotland cap this weekend after being declared fit for the clash with Samoa at Pittodrie.
The Edinburgh loosehead feared a shoulder injury picked up in the famous win over South Africa last weekend would keep him out but he has shaken it off to line up on the front row alongside Gunners team-mate Ross Ford and Northampton Euan Murray.

Andy Robinson has been forced into one change though as Scott MacLeod is out with a rib injury so Nathan Hines moves into the second row while Richie Vernon comes in at eight.

Wing Sean Lamont joins Jacobsen in claiming his half-century of Scotland caps and Robinson couldn’t hide his delight at the pair’s commitment to the cause.

"Allan has performed really well for Scotland over the years," said Robinson.

"He always gives 100%, performs at his very best every time he gets the blue shirt on and I've been delighted with his attitude.

"He performs at incredibly high levels and for him to be able to do that in the scrum, to the way he contributes around the pitch, is absolutely fantastic.

"Sean's had a number of injuries through his career and he's always bounced back well and I'm delighted with the way he's been playing for the Scarlets and the way he's been performing for Scotland."
