Gordon D'Arcy may miss Ireland's clash with Argentina
D'Arcy: We must not underestimate Argentina

By Sportsbeat
Gordon D'Arcy is one of many injury worries for Ireland coach Declan Kidney ahead of the visit of Argentina but is insisting whoever plays not to take the Pumas lightly.
D’Arcy picked up a knock to his calf during the 38-18 loss to New Zealand but is hopeful he will return to face Argentina and his former Leinster teammate Felipe Contepomi.

Coach Kidney has already seen Rory Best, Luke Fitzgerald and Rob Kearney ruled out through injury while Brian O’Driscoll’s shoulder problem is to be further assessed.

Ireland have won just once in their last eight matches and D’Arcy has warned against complacency against the Pumas – who are recovering from a narrow 15-9 defeat to France.

“Looking at their results especially the one against France it shows what a challenge we have on our hands,” said D’Arcy – who has seen Ireland slip to seventh in the world rankings.

“Argentina just always seem to make it especially hard to break them down and to run France so close on French soil is a good indicator of what they can bring to us.

“It will be good to catch up with Felipe he is a great talent. They might be missing some but they have Felipe there pulling the strings alongside the other experience players.”
