Ryan Jones held his hands up after his late error cost Wales victory against Fiji
Jones to lose Wales captaincy

Ryan Jones will pay the price for his late error against Fiji after Warren Gatland revealed he will pass the armband to Matthew Rees for next Saturday's clash with New Zealand.
Jones conceded a last-minute penalty which allowed Fiji to grab a shock 16-16 draw at the Millennium Stadium on Friday night.

And Gatland has firmly laid the blame for the poor performance on the Ospreys’ man.

"I told the players in the dressing room afterwards that Matthew will be captain next week,” said Gatland.

"As coach I'm always under pressure, but I prepare a team as well as I can. I can't go out there and play the game for them.

"It's up to the players, but you have to take the good with the bad and this was bad. We have to take it on the chin and look forward to New Zealand."

But 29-year-old Jones took full responsibility for his role in the disappointing result.

He said: “I'm bitterly disappointed personally, that's my error that cost us.

“We talk about discipline all the time and I let myself and the team down.

"I have just had the worst 20 minutes of my rugby career, standing up in front of the boys and apologising to them for a mistake I made that got them the draw."
