Johnson issues Samoa warning

England manager Martin Johnson admits he will have no hesitation in dropping any of his players for next weekend's visit of South Africa if they show complacency against Samoa.
Johnson has been forced to haul his players down from cloud nine in the past week following their 35-18 victory over old enemy Australia at Twickenham.

The 2003 World Cup winning captain has shuffled his pack slightly for the visit of Samoa this weekend.

But insists any player seen to be saving themselves for the World Champions next week will be given short shrift.

“Samoa are perfectly capable of coming to Twickenham and winning a Test match,” said Johnson. “They are very, very dangerous.

“We need to have the edge we had last week about us. We are completely aware of what it can do to a team if you get ahead of yourselves.

“The world is so volatile. Some of the stuff I’ve had to deal with this week - we've won a game and played well but it’s one game. Calm down.

“We have to back it up through this series and through the Six Nations.”
