Anthony Allen
Tigers centre could add to his two England caps against Samoa
Johnson drafts in Allen
16 November 2010, 11:55 am
By Sportsbeat
Leicester Tigers centre Anthony Allen has been called into the England squad in the build up to Saturday's Samoa clash.
The former Gloucester star, who has won two caps, will give England team manager Martin Johnson other options as he has injury worries over two of his original squad.

With Riki Flutey still battling a calf injury, Johnson was forced to act when club-mate Dominic Waldouck suffered a facial injury in their LV= Cup clash with Bath at the weekend.

Allen isn’t expected to start against Samoa but could be included on the bench in the hope of adding to his tally of caps for the first time in four years.

Allen – whose previous Test appearances came against Argentina and New Zealand - joins an England squad high in confidence having inflicted a 35-18 thrashing on old enemies Australia last week with Chris Ashton scoring twice.
