Holley hoping Hook stays put

Ospreys boss Sean Holley is keeping his fingers crossed Warren Gatland's selection criteria will see the Welsh region win the battle for James Hook's signature.
The Wales international – whose contract runs out at the end of the season - is being chased by a number of big clubs in both France and England.

However the Ospreys are keen to keep his services and with Gatland’s well-stated preference for his side to play their rugby on home soil Holley is hoping Hook will stay put.

“I would hope the make up of the squad this week would persuade James to remain in Wales,” said Holley.

“James has intimated to us that he wants to play for Wales for a fair time. Those are things players have to consider.

“If the present coach is of the mind that if you are not playing in Wales you are not likely to figure, then players have to take that into consideration if they want to play for their national team.”
