Davies would welcome Quinnell in with open arms
Quinnell set to be offered Scarlets coaching role

Head coach Nigel Davies wants to welcome recently retired forward Gavin Quinnell onto the Scarlets' coaching team.
The brother of former Wales internationals Scott and Craig Quinnell was permanently blinded in his left eye during a clash between Llanelli and Cross Keys on October 2.

And Davies offered his support to the 26-year-old former Viadana player and commending his bravery after the incident.

“We were devastated for Gav,” said Davies. “He had really come on since returning from Italy and was about to make the step across to regional rugby.

“He has been so brave and dealt with the incident magnificently.

“I have spoken to him and told him there would be a number of opportunities for someone like him with the club in our coaching team. Gav is very important to us."

Quinnell is thought to be considering the offer, although a response hasn’t been made public, he recent wrote on his Facebook page: "I am really overwhelmed by all the people that are saying so many kind words to me at this time and am thanking all of you.

“I really wish I could say thank you to you all in person but sorry, I can't."
