Kellock: We have coped without Parks

Glasgow Warriors captain Alastair Kellock has insisted there is life after Dan Parks as they prepare for their Heineken Cup clash with Newport Gwent Dragons.
Fly-half Parks, who has over a half-century of Scotland caps, spent seven years at Firhill before moving to the Cardiff Blues over the summer.

Speaking ahead of their Pool six clash, Kellock admitted losing Magners League record points scorer Parks was a blow, but was adamant his replacements had sufficient quality to thrive in his absence.

“Dan is a great player and would be a loss to any team. But, saying that, the two young guys at 10 - Ruaridh Jackson and Duncan Weir - are real stars,” said Kellock.

“They both have great attitudes and I’m excited about them. But the things that have gone wrong are not down to the guys that have come in, they are team things.

“If we can get that sorted out then I believe we will start to win games.”
