Robinson: We shouldn't fear New Zealand

Andy Robinson has called on his Scotland side to show no fear when they take on the All Blacks at Murrayfield on November 13.
It is one of three autumn internationals they will play in November, with clashes against world champions South Africa and fellow southern hemisphere side Samoa following the All Blacks encounter.

Scotland have not beaten New Zealand in 27 attempts, registering only two draws in that period, with their last encounter in November 2008 ending in a 32-6 All Black win.

Buoyed by their recent Test series win in Argentina, Robinson has demanded his team turn this losing record to their advantage against the current Tri-Nations champions.

“We mustn't fear New Zealand. We should be excited about the challenges ahead,” said Robinson.

“We are going to use the history. What has happened over the last 20 years, we have to build into our performance.

“We've got to believe in our ability to perform. The players can create history if we score more points than the opposition.

“We will use the winning experiences of Argentina and Ireland away and channel all that into performing against the All Blacks.

“We need every player to be at 95% or above of their ability and performance and we've got to have a huge team effort throughout the 80 minutes.”
