Jon Davies enhanced his international credentials with a stunning hat-trick of tries
Davies runs in hat-trick for Scarlets

Wales centre Jonathan Davies scored a hat-trick as the Scarlets exorcised their Italian demons with an emphatic victory over Aironi, but warned there was room for improvement ahead of the clash with the Dragons.
Nigel Davies' side let slip a 13-point lead against Treviso in their last Italian encounter, but following their last-gasp victory against Connacht, the Scarlets continued on their winning ways, running in six tries against their hapless opponents.

Hat-trick hero Davies praised the team’s marked improvements, but claimed there was still room for improvement before next week’s all-Welsh clash at Rodney Parade.

“It was good. It was a shame from last week that we weren’t as accurate as we were usually. We were still not as accurate tonight but we’re moving in the right direction,” said Davies.

“We’ve got a bit of momentum going forward and the boys are looking forward to it. The derbies are always the best games in the league and we’re all looking forward to it.”

Tries from Andy Fenby and George North before the break set the Scarlets on their way, before Aironi’s Jaco Erasmus saw yellow for repeat offending.

Davies then touched down twice in succession, before Martin Roberts crossed over to add his name to the score sheet.

Davies then completed his treble before Nick Williams touched down for a consolation try late-on to restore some pride.

Stephen Jones scored 19 with the boot to cap a fine night for the Scarlets, while the defeat was the third in a row for the new Italian side.
