And after conceding 23 points in the first half in Wales, Evans has demanded the Warriors produce a complete 80-minute performance.

“Barclay is certainly a fantastic leader,” said Evans who has scored two tries in 10 RBS 6 Nations games.

“All I can say about him really is that he leads by example which is why he has got where he is.

“We need to try start better with everything we do in the first half. If we can start the first halves like we start the second half then we will be good for the whole game.

“We have a lot of young legs so we should be good for the last twenty.”

The Dragons will look to build on that defeat of the Warriors when they travel to the Blues where Ceri Sweeney will line-up against his team.

And the 35-cap Welsh international is expecting a fiery affair at the Cardiff City Stadium.

He said: “I expect they will do all they can to try and put me off my game.

“There is a lot to play for the players themselves. We all have friends on both sides and everyone is trying to play their way into the Welsh set-up.

“It is a derby and there will be bragging rights there. They are coming off the back of a win and we are coming off a loss so we have a lot to prove.

“They are a very tenacious team and have made some good signings. They will offer any opposition they play a challenge.”

Also returning to first team action is Ireland prop Cian Healy who comes back into the Leinster team for Saturday’s game against Treviso.

And after the Italians shocked the Scarlets in the opening round, Healy maintains Leinster won’t be taking Treviso lightly.

He said: “Italy will be a big task but we have to be confident in ourselves. Italian sides at home pose a big threat but it is about what we can do with our own players and own talents.”
