Moffat turns up heat on Edinburgh

Angry Edinburgh head coach Rob Moffat will put his players through the mill on the training pitch before naming his side for the clash with Ulster.
The Gunners have lost their opening matches to Munster and Cardiff with Moffat fuming over the manner of last Friday’s 16-13 defeat to the men from Limerick.

Edinburgh face Ulster on the road next and Moffat has delayed naming his team in a bid to see which players impress on the training pitch.

“I’m doing things a bit differently this week – we thought we would see who is a bit sharper and who’s not quite there,” said Moffat.

“We didn’t perform like we can last weekend and that includes everyone – from the players to the management – it was a very average performance.

“I’m a firm believer that if we perform how we can then we will win the game – all of our players feel like that.

“It’s going to be physical at Ulster but we’ve won at their place and we know mentally we can do it.”
