After the Scots failed to stamp any authority on the match, Moffat insists there is no excuse for getting the simple things horribly wrong after back to back defeats.
"You don't win games not looking after the ball," said Moffat.
"Our job is to get the best out of the players but on the pitch players have to sort it out too.
"We're all in this. The game is that basic and that's all Munster did a lot of the time - running hard onto ball,
getting over the gain-line and recycling.
"We defended well and scrambled well, with guys working very hard to get back and hang in there, which was a positive aspect of the game for us.
"Our ball-carriers were not aggressive enough and the players clearing out were not aggressive enough and that's where it started.
"It was amazing really that we were still in the game, and then ahead when Tim Visser scored the try.
"When Tim got his try you're thinking 'right, c'mon, let's kick on', but we still contrived to give away possession and never put Munster under pressure at all."
