And Youngs, who stole the show in the 21-20 defeat of Australia, says he still has a lot to learn off Bracken – who is generally considered to have been one of England’s finest ever passers.
“When I first started passing was definitely my weakest part and I still struggle with it,” said the 20-year-old. “I think half the time it’s fluke that it gets there!
“Passing’s one of those skills that you learn from an early age and as I moved the position at 16, I never really had any proper coaching on it. I kind of just got away with it.
“But Kyran helps me now and he’s really good, he likes to put you through the paces and loves to get involved – he still thinks he’s got it!
“He’s someone you can call up at any time and ask for advice. He was brilliant with me before I went on tour and he’s a guy I have a lot of time for. He was a great player, so you can’t help but learn from him.
“I’d love it to be as sharp as a knife over night, but it just doesn’t happen. It’s up to me personally to put in the effort, but I’m sure if I keep working hard with Kyran, it’ll help no end.”
