Evans predicts free-flowing Scottish display

Centre Max Evans insists Scotland will make more of an impact with ball in hand in their second Test against Argentina as they look to seal a maiden Test series win in the Southern Hemisphere.
Scotland became the first touring side to defeat the Pumas at their stronghold of Tucuman last Saturday but had Dan Parks to thank for kicking six penalties and two drop goals in their 24-16 victory.

But with a more disciplined performance expected from their hosts in Mar Del Plata on Saturday, head coach Andy Robinson opted to bring in Ulster wing Simon Danielli to boost his offensive threat on the flanks.

And Glasgow Warriors centre Evans admits the Scottish backline are chomping at the bit to end their try drought on the Atlantic coast.

“We have put down a few guys that we want to get hold of the ball in the opposition 22, a few strike runners," said Evans.

"Guys like me, Sean, Simon Danielli coming in, key strike runners that can be dangerous in that area. It's something I'm looking forward to.

"I've learned that every time I touch the ball it isn't going to be a try-scoring opportunity. At this level tries are scored from multiple phases and keeping hold of the ball and wearing teams down.”
