But former Wales coach Henry has opted against rotating his side for this weekend’s match in Dunedin, with Wellington Hurricanes flanker Victor Vito the only addition for the injured Jerome Kaino.

And after Wales threatened to end their 57-year wait for a defeat of the All-Blacks in a 19-12 defeat in November, Edwards is adamant the Kiwis will be more determined than ever to keep their run going.

“I’m pretty sure they are very determined not to let Wales defeat them in their own country,” said Edwards, whose side warmed up for their tour of New Zealand with a 34-31 defeat to world champions South Africa in Cardiff two weeks ago.

“Their team selection for this match is a sign that they do respect the Welsh side – the last two games between the sides have been competitive to say the least.

“Everyone remembers the match two years ago when we were leading at half-time and we certainly competed for 40 minutes against them in November.

“It’s up to us this time to keep the intensity and accuracy up for 80 minutes. If you don’t, there’s no doubt the All Blacks will punish you.”
