New Ospreys coach Kevin Morgan played a starring role in Wales' 2005 Grand Slam win
Grand Slam winner Morgan takes up Ospreys coaching role

Former Wales full-back Kevin Morgan has joined Magners League champions Ospreys as strength and conditioning coach after bringing the curtain down on his playing career.
The 33-year old, who played a starring role in Wales’ 2005 RBS 6 Nations Grand Slam victory, has been hampered by injuries since earning the last of his 48 caps three years ago.

But having combined playing and working in a similar role at Principality Premiership champion Neath this season, Morgan admitted the opportunity to join the Welsh region was too good to miss.

“I'm really pleased to get this role with the Ospreys, who are one of the best rugby organisations in Europe,” said Morgan, who played for Pontypridd, Celtic Warriors and Newport Gwent Dragons during his club career.

"I'm really looking forward to starting the role when the players come back for pre-season - it's a fantastic opportunity for me to work on the conditioning side of things with elite rugby players and great coaches.

"Over the course of the last season I've got some great experience with Neath and within the Ospreys' elite development set-up, but it's not something I've only just thought about.

"For probably the last four or five years, as my playing career has been coming to an end, I've been working towards this role and when the players come back in July I'll get my opportunity.”
