Vermeulen scored the last-gasp try against Scotland in the final game of last year’s RBS 6 Nations to win the tournament for France, but has not been seen in the blue shirt since. Injury forced him out of the World Cup, but he is back fit and playing well for Clermont Auvergne. Looks like he will be battling with Bonnaire and Chabal for the No.8 jersey. Is a relative newcomer to the France squad, and will be picked if Lievremont goes with sheer power at the back of the scrum.
