Elissalde has spent much of his career at scrum-half and was named player of the tournament for his performance as France won the 2004 RBS 6 Nations Championship Grand Slam but he has featured at fly-half for Toulouse, notably in their Heineken Cup final defeat to Munster. A superb footballer and an accurate goalkicker who knits the team's play together well.
