Handed his first cap at the age of 22 by Brad Johnstone against Samoa in 2000, but was not included in John Kirwan’s squad for the 2003 World Cup. Spells in English rugby with Rotherham, Leicester and Bath before moving to Perpignan and then Bayonne. The Argentina-born player made his World Cup debut against Romania in September, scoring 11 points in Italy’s 24-18 win.
