After the Celtic Warriors disbanded in 2004 Davies was left without a top club in Wales and signed up with Welsh Premiership side Neath. He secured a contract with Gloucester and became a firm favourite with them earning an international recall and he was the form hooker of the RBS 6 Nations in 2006.
