A hugely experienced lock who joined Montauban from Edinburgh last summer. He became Scotland’s most capped player when he made his 83rd appearance in the RBS 6 Nations match against Ireland last March. Murray became the 16th Scot to reach 50 caps when he led his country for the first time against Italy in the 2003 Rugby World Cup warm-up match, before skippering the side for the 2004 summer tour to Australia. He was Scotland player of the season in 1998-99 and 2001-02, and one of three Scots originally selected for the 2001 Lions.
