Grewcock has proved one of England's most combative post-war locks, winning 66 caps during a Test career that started in try-scoring fashion against Argentina almost 10 years ago. The Bath lock provides an aggressive edge, although that has sometimes boiled over and landed him in disciplinary hot water. Sent off against New Zealand in 1998, and cited during the 2004 game against the All Blacks in Auckland and on Lions duty in Christchurch a year later. A broken hand ended his 2003 World Cup campaign after only one game, against Uruguay.
