Corry has captained England 14 times, a record bettered only by Will Carling, Martin Johnson, Lawrence Dallaglio and Bill Beaumont, but his most recent leadership memories are not ones he will savour. Corry was at the helm when England lost three of their autumn Tests in 2006, a sequence that ultimately ended with head coach Andy Robinson departing. Corry may have lost the captaincy to Phil Vickery but he remains a fierce competito, and stands only one appearance short of joining England's 50-cap club, having made his Test debut 10 years ago, against Argentina in Buenos Aires.
