Ulster back-row Chris Henry and team-mate Dan Tuohy, who plays in the second row, have been rewarded for their impressive performances this term.

And the only new-boy in the backs is Leinster’s 23-year-old centre Fergus McFadden, who has already won ten caps for the Ireland A side.

Brian O’Driscoll will captain the side Down Under and British Lions skipper Paul O’Connell has also been included despite his on-going problem with a groin injury.

However, injuries have prevented flanker Stephen Ferris and winger Luke Fitzgerald from taking part in the tour.

The tour begins with a clash with the Barbarians at Thomond Park on June 4 before they take on New Zealand in New Plymouth eight days later.

The New Zealand Maoris are next up on June 18 with the final match of the tour against Australia in Brisbane on June 26.
