Shane Williams applauds the Ospreys support with Tommy Bowe
Williams relief at reaching final

Tries from Wales stars Shane Williams and James Hook saw the Ospreys sneak past Glasgow and into the inaugural Magners League Grand Final at the Liberty Stadium.
The 20-5 win sets up a titanic clash with either Leinster or Munster on May 29 and coach Sean Holley was delighted with the victory.

“It's just great to be in the final,” he said.

“It feels great, I thought we deserved it - fair play to the boys, they dug in and got the win.”

Winger Williams scored a controversial first, sneaking his way into the left corner despite appearing to step narrowly into touch.

His international team-mate Dan Biggar slotted the conversion but the home side were guilty of a lack of cutting edge as they were frustrated by a determined Glasgow outfit.

Glasgow got themselves right back in the game when hooker Fergus Thompson crossed in unusual circumstances after his overthrown lineout made its way back to him via a Marty Holah knock-on.

But Hook’s superb individual effort to chase down his own blind-side chip ahead confirmed the Osprey place in the final.
Williams admitted his side were far from their best but praised a dogged Glasgow performance.

“It's always tough against Glasgow, they didn't come here to lie down and they've been tremendous away from home all season.

"We made far too many mistakes in critical areas, but a win's a win.”
