Rees in race against time for Cardiff semi-final

Cardiff faces a scrum-half crisis ahead of their must-win Amlin Cup semi-final against Guinness Premiership London Wasps.
With Wales international Gareth Cooper out for the rest of the season and youngster Lloyd Williams not registered for the competition – Cardiff will be keeping their fingers crossed current No.1 Richie Rees is passed fit.

Rees, who featured for Wales during this year’s RBS 6 Nations, picked up an ankle injury on Magners League duty last weekend and is rated only 50-50 to appear for Cardiff on Saturday.

That would leave London Irish-bound Darren Allinson as the only fit scrum-half available for the Blues' biggest game of the season.
