Chris Paterson has targeted Scotland's summer tour of Argentina for his comeback from a serious kidney injury.
The Edinburgh utility back has been out of action since picking up the injury during the RBS 6 Nations defeat to Wales on the day he was collecting his 100th international cap.
And even though that special day was marred by an injury that forced him out for the season, the centurion is desperate to add to his tally.
The 32-year-old said: “I would like to be fit for Argentina. Whether there would be an opportunity to play rugby to be match fit, I don’t know.
“All these things are open at the moment. I would like to be considered for playing and getting back playing as soon as possible.
“Andy Robinson’s got so much respect for his medical staff and I suppose the call lies with them.”
