Cuddy confirms Welsh star Henson's return
20 April 2010, 8:44 am
By Sportsbeat
Ospreys chairman Mike Cuddy has revealed that Wales star Gavin Henson will make his long-awaited return to action next season.
The 28-year-old has not played rugby since Ospreys EDF Energy Cup semi-final defeat to Gloucester in March 2009.

The injury-plagued Lions centre, who has also been linked with a switch to Welsh Super League side Crusaders, has been on a sabbatical since.

But Cuddy has broken the silence on Henson’s future to give Wales coach Warren Gatland a huge boost ahead of next years World Cup in New Zealand.

“He has told me he will be back next season and playing before the end of the year,” Cuddy told the Daily Mail.

“Gavin has been honest with me all along. All the injuries, especially the prolonged ones over his groin and Achilles tendon, got him down.

“He took a break and now he is feeling all the better for it.”
