Irish props Healey and Ross in for Ospreys clash

Ireland props Cian Healy and Mike Ross will both be given an opportunity to impress as Leinster face Ospreys in a table-topping clash at the RDS on Friday night.
Both teams preparations have been far from ideal with the Ospreys facing their third game in six days while Leinster have lost a host of the star performers from their nailbiting win over Clermont Auvergne.

Irish international trio Brian O’Driscoll (knee), Jonathan Sexton (jaw) and Rob Kearney (ankle) were ruled out earlier in the week.

Up front Ross and Healey – who will both have eyes on a starting berth for Ireland’s summer tour – come in for CJ van der Linde and Stan Wright.

Leinster are on an 11 match unbeaten run and have not lost on home soil in the Magners League since September 2008 as they seek to extend their four-point lead over the Ospreys at the summit.

The Welsh side won 38-27 over Ulster who make seven changes ahead of their trip to Glasgow – which will have to be done by ferry with all flights grounded due to the Icelandic volcano eruption.

Ian Humphreys and Paul Marshall start with Tom Court, Andi Kyriacou and Declan Fitzpatrick in the front row.

Scotland winger Simon Danielli switches to full-back, so Nevin Spence will start at wing with Jamie Smith dropping to the bench.

And coach Bryan McLaughlin wants his side need to up their concentration levels after their heavy defeat on Tuesday.

He said: “We had a good review of Tuesday night’s game against the Ospreys, and we got to look at our defence.

“We know the key is to be more consistent. Glasgow are a quality side and we're expecting a very tough game.

“Physically we're in good shape, so now the challenge is to get the players mentally focused for this very important game.”

On Sunday there’s an all-Irish affair as play-off chasing Munster travel to bottom side Connacht on Sunday.

The home team will be buoyed by consecutive wins against Bourgoin and Edinburgh while Munster will look to build on their Heineken Cup victory over Munster.
