Wales and England will launch next year's RBS 6 Nations in a groundbreaking Friday night opener.
The Championship has never kicked off on a Friday before but it has been confirmed the arch enemies will go head to head on February 4 at the Millennium Stadium in the curtain-raiser.
The move comes two years after the first Six Nations game on a Friday when Wales lost 21-16 in Paris.
But after the return Friday night clash in this year’s tournament, a thrilling 26-20 win for the French in Cardiff, the start of the tournament has now been brought forward by a day.
The Friday night experiment had been hailed a success by Six Nations bosses who have been left thrilled by the television viewing figures and other financial rewards over the last two years.
