While most of the team helped themselves to tries, the standout performer was Tonmawr and Ospreys wing Eli Walker who grabbed five tries.

It too just seven minutes to break the deadlock with Walker finishing off an overlap before grabbing a brilliant solo score with a run from the halfway line.

Lock Cory Hill, on the books at the Blues, barrelled his way over before scrum-half Aled Davies and flanker Calum Thomas got tries in quick succession.

Walker completed his hat-trick to take the score to 40-0 and there was still time in the first half for George North and fly-half Matthew Morgan – who would finish with seven conversions – to cross.

Even at 54-0 and a host of changes at the break, there was not let up for the crumbling Azzurri.

Blues second row Matthew Screech got in on the act and when Timi Enodeh was sent to the bin for the visitors, Walker took advantage of the extra space to grab his fourth try.

That try was soon followed by Walker’s fifth and firsts for Scarlets duo Luke Hamilton and Kirby Myhill.

With Wales scoring at will, flanker Ellis Jenkins brought Wales closer to the three-figure barrier but despite five conversions from Blues replacement stand-off Joseff Griffin they would not get their ton.
