Scotland full-back Chris Paterson has set his sights on a place on the plane to Argentina this summer as he continues his comeback from injury.
The Edinburgh back has been out of action since splitting his kidney during Scotland’s dramatic 31-24 RBS 6 Nations defeat to Wales at the Millennium Stadium in February.
Paterson and team-mate Thom Evans both suffered tournament-ending injuries that day, with Evans’ career still in the balance after he broke his neck in Cardiff.
Andy Robinson’s men are due to lock horns with the Pumas on June 12 in Tucuman before renewing hostilities seven days later in Mar Del Plata.
And despite not yet returning for his Magners League paymasters, Paterson admits the South American tour is in the back of his mind.
He said: “I just have to take it as it comes but I do hope to make it to Argentina.”
