With the English forwards proving too powerful for their Irish counterparts, their backline ran riot with winger Charlie Walker, full-back Ben Ransom, centre Elliot Daly and fly-half George Ford all crossing.

Ford also added 11 points with the boot while hooker Koree Britton and flanker Chris Walker completed the scoring for England in Llandovery.

Perhaps the only surprise was that star winger Marland Yarde - who scored a hat-trick in the Daily Mail Under-18 Cup final for Whitgift last week – was left out of the act.

Ireland kept themselves in the game until the break with fly-half Patrick Jackson exchanging an early penalty with opposite number Ford.

But England soon pulled away with two tries - the first from Exeter Chiefs starlet Britton having been set up by scrum-half Joel Hodgson and then from Walker with fellow wing Yarde getting the assist.

Those scores were sandwiched by a Cahal Marsh drop goal and two further penalties from Jackson reduced the gap.

Just before halftime however flanker Walker - on the books at Leeds Carnegie - was at the end of a powerful forwards' move.

And they moved further clear as Ford created Daly's try with a terrific offload before showing neat footwork to go over himself.

Ransom finished off a terrific counter attack but Ireland would claim the last word through hooker Niall Scammell's try after England's Kyle Sinckler had been binned.

England though held on for their 18th consecutive win.
