Alun Wyn Jones has been out of action since the dramatic RBS 6 Nations victory over Scotland
Ospreys lock Alun Wyn Jones is expected to make his return to action this weekend after recovering from the elbow injury he picked up in the RBS 6 Nations win over Scotland.
The 24-year-old has been out for over a month since chipping a bone in his left elbow while tackling Sean Lamont in Wales’ 31-24 win against Scotland at the Millennium Stadium.
But after returning to training ahead of schedule, Jones is set to be named on the replacements' bench for Friday’s Magners League game against Scarlets.
It means that Jones could start the Heineken Cup quarter-final against Biarritz next week.
Ospreys coach Sean Holley said: “Alun Wyn Jones is coming on really well with accelerated progress. We are hopeful he will be fit for Biarritz.”
