Martin Johnson’s side had been due to face the All Blacks for the Hillary Shield at Twickenham on December 4, but the fixture will now take place on November 6.

The move was sanctioned after Premier Rugby and the Professional Game Board agreed to bring the England players’ release period forward by one week.

England’s home games with Australia, Samoa and South Africa will follow on successive Saturdays, with Twickenham hosting five Saturday games in a row as South Africa’s clash with the Barbarians has been brought forward 24 hours to December 4.

RFU business operations director Paul Vaughan said: “We're delighted that Premier Rugby Limited and the Professional Game Board have approved the change which completes a superb series of games at Twickenham Stadium this autumn.

“Five consecutive Saturday games all kicking off at 2.30pm will be good for our supporters, our broadcast partners and the game as a whole.”
