Lewis calls for thrilling finale
Lewis urges Wales women to go out on a high

Wales coach Jason Lewis believes his side still have something to play for in this year's RBS 6 Nations and has urged his team to lay down a marker with the 2010 World Cup looming.
After coming within one victory of a Grand Slam last year, expectations were high that Wales could continue to challenge England's crown.

But instead, ahead of their wooden spoon decider against Italy at Brewery Field, they only have one victory to their name – a 28-12 win over Scotland.

Lewis though keeps faith with the XV that were beaten 18-3 by Ireland and says they can at least finish on the right note against the Azzurri.

He said: “There's no point in denying this has been a frustrating and disappointing campaign for us. “But the important thing now is that we focus on the job in hand against Italy.

“With the World Cup fast approaching we need to get that winning feeling back in our team.

“The most important thing is that we do the basics well and stop the silly errors that have cost us in our previous games.

“The defeat against Ireland was an example of us shooting ourselves in the foot. I named the same team because I want them to have another chance to put things right.

“On our day we are a match for anyone, but we just need to do the basic things well and then the rest will come.”
