Kevin West makes just three changes for the Irish women's final encounter against Scotland
West wants fortress Ashbourne to continue

Ireland Women's coach Kevin West has called on his team to maintain their impressive home record in their final game against Scotland.
West makes three changes from the side that performed so impressively in the second half during their 18-3 defeat of Wales.

In the pack, hooker Gillian Bourke and flanker Sinead Ryan both start while Nora Stapleton returns to take her place on the wing.

Ireland have won two from two at Ashbourne RFC in this Championship, and West wants them to finish the Championship on a high against Scotland.

He said: “We are fortunate to be playing at Ashbourne because it is a fantastic pitch which helps us with our rugby and we have also received some brilliant support.

“We have won against Italy and Wales there and we want to create a fortress feel about the place so beating Scotland would round off a satisfactory Championship for us.

“Against Wales it was really competitive in the first half and if they had scored a couple of penalty opportunities then it might have been a different story.

“We are really happy with the way we performed in the second half, we have not beaten them in a while so it is extra sweet.

“I am really pleased with the way the squad have developed throughout the course of the Championship and now we need to make sure we finish strongly against Scotland.”
