The results of an MRI scan that took place yesterday confirmed that Simon Shaw (London Wasps) has suffered no additional damage to his left shoulder and the injury he sustained against Ireland is confined to the acromioclavicular (AC) joint.
He is making good progress with treatment from the London Wasps medical team and will be reassessed by the England medical team this weekend.
It is unlikely that he will be available to face Scotland in the RBS 6 Nations on March 13 but his availability for the game against France on March 20 remains under review.
Delon Armitage (London Irish) has made good progress this week recovering from a rib cartilage injury under the care of the England medical team. His progress will be reviewed again at the weekend.
