England prop not happy with Under-20 team spirit

Marler calls for England Under-20 response

England prop Joe Marler has urged his teammates to start playing together or risk further RBS 6 Nations humiliation against Scotland on Friday.

With last week’s 25-10 defeat to Ireland the championship race is now wide open with England, Ireland and Wales all on four points.

And the Harlequins front-row insists his teammates must start turning their talent into results – starting with Friday’s visit to Firhill Stadium.

He said: “There's bags of talent in our team but individually we're not good enough yet.

“Because we're not pulling together individually, it's not working as a team and we're bottling it and not taking chances to finish it off.

“Scotland will be very passionate and up for the game but we'll try our best, work hard in training between now and then and try and put right some of the wrongs.”
