Glasgow prop Moray Low has been ruled out for the rest of Scotland's RBS 6 Nations campaign with a knee injury.
The 25-year-old started Scotland’s opening match of the championship – an 18-9 defeat by France – but was dropped to make way for Euan Murray against Wales.
And having been allowed to return to the Warriors, he suffered a knee injury playing against Cardiff Blues last Friday.
The injury, according to Scotland team doctor James Robson, will require surgery and could keep him out for up to two months.
“The scan has showed damage to Moray’s right knee,” said Robson.
“He will now be under the care of specialist ortho-paedic surgeon Graham Lawson at Spire Murrayfield Hospital and will have to undergo keyhole surgery.
“Typical recovery from such a procedure can take up to eight weeks.”
